A Cambridge woman faces charges after another woman was allegedly assaulted in Downtown Guelph earlier this week.
Guelph police report that approximately 1:15 a.m. Wednesday police were called to a disturbance at the intersection of Wyndham Street North and Macdonell Street. Investigation revealed the suspect had attended a business in the area looking for a male before becoming involved in an altercation with the male’s mother outside the business. The victim sustained a cut to the side of her head and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
A 19-year-old Cambridge woman was arrested Wednesday and is charged with assault and failing to comply with a release order.
