Woman charged with impaired

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Friday, May 18, 2018 at approximately 10 p.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a running vehicle parked at Little Tract Hiking Trail on Wellington Road 34, near Aikensville. The officer found the lone occupant buckled up and asleep in the driver's seat.

Investigation revealed the driver had been consuming alcohol. She was transported to a local OPP detachment for testing after failing a road side screening test.

21-year-old Evelina Skalskyte of Cambridge has been charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 15, 2018.
