On the afternoon of Aug. 29, a manager of a north end bank became suspicious when a female came into the branch and attempted to open an account with out-of-province identification.
Police were contacted and investigation at the bank revealed that the female in question was indeed not who she was presenting herself as. She was arrested and was found to be in possession of other identification in numerous names.
A 22-year-old Mississauga female is charged with a total of 12 different fraud-related charges that include identity theft, uttering forged documents, obstruct police and possession of identity documents. She was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
