Woman faces three counts of assaulting a police officer

She's also charged with indecent exhibition, attempt to disarm police officer and more

On March 23, 2018 at approximately 9:40 a.m., Guelph police were called to the area of Wyndham Street North and Quebec Street, where there was a report of a disturbance. Police arrived and located a female that is alleged to have caused the disturbance.

When police attempted to apprehend the female, it is alleged she became combative with officers. Elements of the investigation prevented the female from being charged immediately.

On March 30, 2018, Nicole Haggarty, a 35-year-old Guelph female, was arrested and charged with indecent exhibition, mischief under $5,000, three counts of assaulting a police officer, attempt to disarm police officer, and breaching her probation order. She was given a May 15, 2018 court date.

On March 29, 2018, Guelph police were called to a south end address, where there was a report of a neighbour dispute. During the investigation, an interaction occurred between one of the tenants of the residence and a police officer.

It is alleged that the tenant assaulted the police officer during the interaction. Jeffery Pritchard, a 34-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with assault police officer. He was given a May 11, 2018 court date.

The police officer received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
