On Aug. 24, 2019 at approximately 12 p.m., Guelph Police went to an Edinburgh Road South grocery store for the report of an assault.
A woman was shopping outside the store in the garden centre when a man that was not known to her struck her on the side of her head. The man then walked away and police were called. He was located a short distance away and arrested. The woman was not injured.
A 24-year-old Guelph man has been charged with assault and breach of probation. He will appear in court on Oct. 4, 2019.
