Woman with 3-year-old passenger charged with impaired driving

Both were treated for minor injuries following collision on Victoria Road

On Oct. 8, 2019 at approximately 2:13 p.m., a Toyota pickup truck travelling north on Victoria Road struck a Chrysler minivan turning onto Grange Road.

The Chrysler minivan left the scene and was observed driving aggressively in a nearby subdivision a short time later.

The driver of the minivan was eventually located nearby and [allegedly] found to be in an intoxicated state. The 25-year-old Guelph woman was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - blood alcohol above 80 mgs.

As part of the investigation, the female and her three-year-old, who was a passenger in the minivan, were transported to GGH and subsequently released with minor injuries.
