PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP - Today at approximately 10:40 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Puslinch Fire and Rescue Services responded to a medical assist call at a residence under construction on Concession 1 in Puslinch Township.
Investigation revealed that a 24-year-old sub-contractor was injured when a slab of quartz that was being installed fell on him. The male from Hamilton was transported to a Cambridge hospital with serious injuries.
Ministry of Labour (MOL) has been notified and will be attending the scene.
