Wrong place, wrong time for Guelph man

A Guelph man who is on court conditions to be under house arrest in Sault Ste. Marie was arrested Tuesday after he was located by Guelph Police Service officers.

Just after 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to an address near Woodlawn Road East and Montana Road for an unwanted person call. Several people were asked to leave a private residence at the request of the homeowner.

While leaving, one man had his hood up and appeared to be hiding his identity. Officers spoke to him and learned there was a warrant for the man's arrest.

During a search incident to arrest officers located a small amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

A 35-year-old Guelph man is charged with failing to comply with a release order, breaching probation and possession of a controlled substance. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
