Yet another Hanlon Expressway racing charge

On Nov. 30, 2017 at approximately 12 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway, Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2012 Hyundai Accent at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h.

Forty-three-year-old Christopher Gerber of Cambridge has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on Jan. 3, 2018. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
