I wanted a "Platform burial" but I was told that's not an option because of a safety issue.

Apparently there is concern that a raptor while pecking at my body might pick something up and later drop it on a passing motorist. (yes, this was actually a discussion I had with Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery (the ministry) responsible for policy related to the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, and oversees the Bereavement Authority of Ontario)

The real reason however? There's almost no money in a platform burial.

Well this will keep the population growth at bay. No one wants to live in a city that has no police, ambulance, fire, culture, heritage, parks, tree canopy, garbage pick up, snow clearing, water, sewage treatment, transit, walk & bike trails, or concern for vulnerable citizens. I certainly wouldn't relocate my business or family here if I had a choice. There are some things money must buy. You solve problems by building consensus, not by slashing resources. Say good "byecentennial" Sigh.

Domestic violence, child neglect, cancer, job loss, depression, motor vehicle accidents = alcohol. World Health Organization states there is NO safe amount of alcohol consumption and yet not one warning label. It's celebrated in the tourism/hospitality industry as a benign substance, when in fact it is a potent poisonous depressant creating a catastrophic burden on our healthcare system. Cheers. .

And no longer insisting on licence plate sticker renewals this problem is only going to get worse. Driver's no longer caring about parking/speeding infractions. Perhaps explains the current anarchy on our roads.

So we have a "commitment to implementing long-term water monitoring and protecting township resident’s water source" then? And if so, what is it?
