The excitement continues to grow along with the list of exceptional auction items that will be available at an inviting new fundraiser being hosted by the Rotary Club of Guelph South called The Brunch at The Barn.

The fundraising committee at the 22-year-old Rotary Club of Guelph South has developed the new event as part of an annual calendar of community fundraising events.

“We were charged with brainstorming a new event to replace some of the things we had to abandon,” said Celia Clark, past president of the Rotary Club of Guelph South and Co-chair of the Brunch at The Barn committee. “We were looking for something new and exciting and different. We wanted it to not be COVID dependant, something that wouldn’t be in a crowded indoor space but that would allow us to get back to an in-person activity.”

The Brunch at The Barn is scheduled for June 4th at the new Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms facility.

The upscale event is being touted as “the epitome of fun-meets-fundraising,” and will feature live music, mimosa bar, catered lunch, silent and live auction, fun games and more. Well-known local auctioneer Robert Milburn of Milburn Auto Sales and Service will host the auction portion, with proceeds going directly to local and international charitable initiatives supported by the Rotary Club of Guelph South, one of four Rotary clubs operating in the Guelph area.

Some of the recently added auction items include the following:

  • Paintings by Andrés Correa
  • Zulu Nyala for 2
  • WW1 replica Sopwith
  • Kitchen Counter Experience for Four (Alcohol and gratuities not included).
Enjoy a fun, modern-style tasting menu that will have you fully immersed in the Elora Mill Kitchen. Get to know the Chefs and Kitchen Team as you enjoy a menu that is focused on the best ingredients our farm and local specialty producers have to offer. Be the first to get sneak peeks at new items and taste dishes that are Elora Mill's Chef's very own favourites. You may even learn one or two new cooking techniques!
