CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Centre Wellington community is showing their support for first responders and frontline workers with a car rally this Sunday.
The parade will be leaving the Tower Street Zehrs parking lot in Fergus at around 2:30 p.m on April 26. The rally will include stops at local retirement and nursing homes, fire and police buildings, and Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
According to the facebook event, participants are expected to stay in their vehicles at all times and obey the rules of the road.
People are encouraged to put a sign on their car doors to indicate they are part of the event and to thank frontline workers. All signs and decorations should be securely attached.
The event organizer has asked participants to respect hospital quiet zones and to only honk once briefly as they pass through these areas.
The parade will finish at the Heritage River Retirement Residence in Elora.
