ELORA – Grand River Raceway will be opening a new space to guests for the first time.

Starting Wednesday, the GrandWay Events Centre will welcome guests to the GrandWay Lounge which will broadcast simulcast racing and sporting events seven days a week.

The GrandWay Events Centre is the latest facility at the raceway, owned and operated by the Grand River Agricultural Society.

The event centre will eventually host weddings, parties and corporate events but for now the lounge will offer guests a spot to enjoy racing and sports.

"It has been a long time coming but we are finally ready and able to share our new space with guests,"  said Jamie Martin, director of operations at the Grand River Raceway. "We are very proud of the building and the opportunity it provides to both community members and horse racing fans. We have  been planning for this day for some time and look forward to providing an enjoyable and safe experience in our new space."

The space will be able to host 50 patrons indoors, in accordance with public health guidelines, and strict COVID protocols will remain in place such as sitting with households only and contact information from guests.

The GrandWay kitchen will be opening in a few weeks offering a pub menu incorporating locally grown produce on the menu.

The venue is open for future event bookings and tours by appointment. More information can be found here.
