MINTO – The Town of Minto’s municipal office will be closed indefinitely as a response to rising COVID-19 cases.

“We are continuing to monitor the situation and encourage the public to check traditional and social media, as well as the Town of Minto website for updates,” a press release from the town said.

“The Town of Minto remains devoted to ensuring all safety measures are followed, to protect our staff and the public.”

If residents need to reach a staff member, they are urged to use email if possible. Staff emails are listed under the contact us section of the town’s website.

Staff will continue to check voicemails remotely and return calls when possible.

“As always, continuity of essential services such as fire, water, wastewater and road maintenance will be ensured,” the press release said.

“The remainder of municipal staff including building services, recreation, administration, and economic development will be continuing to work from various alternate locations to ensure that staff are distanced properly.”
