Scotiabank is donating $100,000 to the Smart Cities program to help establish a specific regenerative agriculture program in Wellington County.

The funds come from Scotiabank's Net Zero Research Fund through the COIL Climate and Circularity Solution Hub, which is aimed at addressing climate change through companies working in the food, environment, construction, renovation and demolition sectors.

The Smart Cities COIL program has worked with over 60 companies since being established in 2021. The climate solutions hub is a new offshoot of the project.
