Expected installation in Belwood and Fergus set for spring 2022

CENTRE WELLINGTON - Two area parks are getting some upgrades.

At Monday's meeting, township council awarded contracts for the installation of new playground equipment at Douglas Park in Belwood and Ferrier Park in Fergus. The total combined cost of both projects is $122,097, which includes the removal and disposal of existing equipment.

Work at Douglas Park is valued at $49,100, while the Ferrier Park project will cost $72,997.

The township anticipates the new equipment will be installed in the spring of 2022, Dan Wilson, managing director of corporate services and treasurer, said in an email.
