CENTRE WELLINGTON — In the draft budget released by the Township of Centre Wellington Friday, the township tax increase for 2023 is 3.48 per cent.

That would mean a tax increase of $11.68 for every $100,000 of assessed property value.

Last year's increase was 2.16 per cent.

That overall tax bill can be broken down into percentages, as 30 per cent going to the township, 57 per cent going to the county and 13 per cent for the education system.

The budget is expected to be finalized at council's meeting on Feb. 27.
