PUSLINCH – This year’s Santa Claus Parade in Puslinch will look a little different this year as the floats stay still and you drive around them.

“The Optimist Club of Puslinch again looks forward to bringing the annual Santa Claus Parade to the kids of Puslinch but in a different format this year,” a press release from the Optimist Club of Puslinch says.

The drive-thru event will be at the Puslinch Community Centre grounds in Aberfoyle on Nov. 22 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During the event time, spectators can view the floats, mascots, clowns, elves and Santa himself from their vehicle along the drive-thru route.

Children can bring their Santa letter to put in the mailbox and letters with return addresses will get a reply.

There is no cost but the optimists strongly encourage attendees to bring a donation for the food bank which will be collected along the route.

Families, clubs, organizations and businesses can enter a float ahead of time but no people are allowed on the float. You can park one car next to the float and wave from inside.

The optimists ask for confirmation of your float ahead of time as parade participants will be assigned a staggered time slot to arrive.

For more information or to register your float, call Ken or June Williams at (519)-763-0309.

“The Optimist Club of Puslinch welcome your participation and hope you will enjoy your drive-thru experience and chance to see Santa in this new format. It’s all about the kids!” the press release says.
