Single-vehicle collision leads to impaired charge on Wellington Road 124

On June 8, 2021, at approximately 8 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 124 east of Wellington Road 29. Officers arrived and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Trista Forbes, 35-years-old of Brampton has been charged with operation while impaired and failure or refuse to comply with breath demand contrary to the Criminal Code. 

A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment were initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on July 7, 2021.

If you suspect someone is driving while their ability to operate a motor vehicle is impaired, either by drug or alcohol, call police at 911 to report it.
