Passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024 in her 96th year at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, with family by her side.

Muriel was born in Tillsonburg, Ontario on December 6, 1928, and is predeceased by her husband Doug (1976).   Loving mother to Don (Sue) and Dave (Sandra), and special and caring Nana to Lauren (Justin), Leah, Mike (Laura) and Amanda (Chris).  Muriel is also remembered by her sister Jean Tutt (late Ron). She is predeceased by her sister Frances Bell (late Art).  Muriel was a very proud Nana and loved her grandchildren dearly.

She was an avid knitter, crocheter and quilter, and always had a project on the go.  She loved a game of cards and seldom refused a game of cribbage or euchre, and she always played to win!  Muriel was a long-time member of the Rockwood Presbyterian Church.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Graham, and the extraordinary staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their care and compassion during mom’s short stay there.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Wednesday May 1, 2024 from 2 – 4 pm. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 in the funeral home chapel.
