A Guelph man faces numerous charges after a woman reported being repeatedly assaulted and forcibly confined, say Guelph police.
They began an investigation in late April. An adult female reported being assaulted and prevented from leaving a motel room and two different apartment units for days at a time.
The same male was also under investigation for assaulting another woman outside a downtown apartment in mid-April.
A 55-year-old man was located early Wednesday and arrested. He is charged with three counts each of assault and forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, two counts of breaching probation and theft. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
