A Guelph man, 46, was charged with theft and assault following an incident outside an Eramosa Road business on Saturday morning.
According to police, a worker spotted a man trying to remove a shopping cart from the property and attempted to intervene. That’s when the suspect reportedly hit him in the head, causing the worker’s glasses to fall off and break.
A suspect was found a short distance away and was arrested.
