A Guelph woman has been arrested after more than $7,600 in electronic equipment was stolen from a downtown church.
Last Wednesday, an employee of the church – which provides meals and refuge to the city’s underserved population – reported a break-in the previous evening.
It is believed the suspects hid inside until the church was closed. Two men and a woman were caught on video in the sanctuary and backstage areas. Four large speakers, microphones, a digital camera and other electronics with a total value of more than $7,600 were stolen.
Early Monday morning a 23-year-old Guelph woman was arrested downtown and charged with break, enter and commit theft. She will appear in court June 14.
The investigation continues to identify and locate the two males involved.
