MAPLETON – Wellington OPP have closed a number of roads in Mapleton following a Monday collision that left one person dead.
In a Twitter video, Wellington OPP media officer Joshua Cunningham said police are at the scene of a fatal collision between a tractor trailer and pickup truck at Wellington Road 7 and Wellington Road 11.
Cunningham said the two vehicles collided at around noon with one individual being pronounced dead at the scene and another taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Wellington Road 7 between Sideroad 15 and Wellington Road 12, as well as Wellington Road 11 between 12th Line and 14th Line have been closed by OPP until further notice.
