Christmas tree stolen from Fergus business: OPP

Police say the suspect unplugged the Christmas tree and fled on foot

On Nov. 17, 2020, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a theft report that occurred at a business on St. David Street North in Fergus on Nov. 14, 2020, at 9:17 p.m. 

Surveillance footage captured the suspect unplugging the Christmas tree that was on display behind the electronic drive-thru order sign before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Grey/white balding hair
  • Average build
  • Wearing dark pants, grey/blue plaid jacket, brown boots and glasses

OPP is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.
