One charged after police seize suspected meth, LSD in Harriston

TOWN OF MINTO – On Nov. 10, 2020 at approximately 2 p.m.,  a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrols in the area of Arthur Street West in Harriston. The officer spotted a person believed to be wanted by another police service. As the officer attempted to speak to the individual, the suspect attempted to flee on foot.  

After a brief foot chase, the suspect was arrested by police. A search of the suspect resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of substances believed to be methamphetamine and Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD).  

Paul Reeves, 49-years-old of Mount Forest, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on Dec. 18, 2020.
