Two under arrest following downtown Guelph homicide early Saturday morning

On Feb. 29, 2020 at 2 a.m., three males were involved in a disturbance on the sidewalk in front of Tony’s Billiards on MacDonell Street. The victim, a 27-year-old Guelph male received life-threatening stab wounds during the altercation. The male was transported to the Guelph General Hospital by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.

The other males involved in the altercation fled eastbound on MacDonell Street and were arrested by patrol officers without incident.

A 22-year-old and 26-year-old Guelph male have been arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing on criminal charges in relation to this incident.
