Three arrested on outstanding warrants

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Arrested on warrant
On Dec. 17, 2019, Police came into contact with a 29-year-old Guelph male at an address on Woodlawn Road East. Police queried the male and learned that he was wanted on a first instance warrant. The accused was subsequently arrested at 11:16 p.m.

Upon searching the male, Police located a small baggie containing 7.0 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The accused was further charged with possession of a controlled substance and was held at the Guelph Police Service pending a bail hearing.

On Dec. 17, 2019, Police attended to the Provincial courthouse located on Wyndham Street to locate an accused party wanted on a warrant for the following outstanding charges; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and theft of a motor vehicle. The 35-year-old Guelph male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to the Guelph Police Service where he was further held for a bail hearing.

On Dec. 17, 2019, a 31-year-old Guelph male was arrested on the strength of a warrant for the following outstanding charges; mischief under $5,000 and two counts of breach probation. The accused was later released on a promise to appear.
