GuelphToday received the following letter to the editor from reader Miles Ferr on vandalism to street art in Guelph.
It is truly saddening to see Guelph’s street art vandalized, especially the mural in the bridge stairwell at Gordon Street and Waterloo Avenue.
Be the Light is being stripped away nightly. My report to the police might stop the culprits but it will take more voices to have it restored.
Guelph is known for supporting the arts, so I believe street art should be protected, too.
Letting them be defaced like this would be a visible spot on that reputation.
I hope this can be remedied.
