Police are urging people to drive carefully Wednesday morning, after responding to at least 26 collisions.

“If you’re just venturing out, be aware the roads are much icier than they might originally appear,” Guelph police stated in a social media post. “Leave yourself time and space!”

In a separate social media post made shortly after 8 a.m., police note officers had responded to 15 reported collisions by that point in the morning.

As of 10 a.m., officers responded to 26 collisions.

"No serious injuries reported," said police spokesperson Scott Tracey in an email.
