The City of Guelph is upgrading cycling infrastructure on College Avenue from Janefield Avenue to Dundas Lane. Upgrades include in-boulevard cycle tracks, protected bike lanes and protected intersections. These upgrades support healthy, safe and convenient modes of transportation within our community.

Construction is expected to begin on Tuesday, May 21. A full intersection closure at College Avenue West and Edinburgh Road South is also expected to start on Tuesday, May 21. The intersection is expected to remain closed until the end of August 2024.

Road closures along College Avenue West within the construction limits will take place to facilitate construction. Please follow posted signs for safety and detour information. A pedestrian and bicycle detour will be provided along Rodney Boulevard, Floral Drive and Lynwood Avenue. Pedestrians and cyclists should follow the posted detour signs. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.

All businesses in the construction area will remain open and efforts will be made to keep them accessible throughout the project.
