We’ve been making waves for almost 30 years and we’re now in GUELPH!
Our story began in the Summer of 1994 when an 18-year-old Tiernan Murphy taught 50 kids to swim in his parents’ backyard pool and Making Waves Swim School was born!
Almost thirty years later, we have locations in Brampton, Milton, Mississauga, Vaughan and now our fifth in Guelph. We teach over 7,000 students per week in learn-to-swim programs while staying true to the care, enthusiasm and passion Tiernan put into that first summer.

We have a team of dedicated coaches who are trained to provide personalized attention, ensuring that each child progresses through our small steps teaching method. At Making Waves, we not only teach children how to swim, but also instill a lifelong love for the water.
