Who We Are

The LDAWC was founded in 1973 out of a need to provide familial support, outside of the school system, for those affected by learning disabilities and ADHD. Our mission is to improve the lives of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities so that they can reach their full potential. We do so by prioritizing high-quality programming, resources, and educational events. Our vision is to continue building a community where learning disabilities are understood and accepted. The association continues to be a grassroots organization that relies heavily on it's staff, board of directors, and most notably its volunteers to carry out its many functions.
