THUNDER BAY -- A missing eight-year-old boy who was the subject Tuesday of an Amber Alert, has been found safe.

Thunder Bay Police earlier in the evening announced they were scouring locations on the north side of the city, having set up a command post for a search team in the areas of John Street Road and Valley Street.

Police were searching for the boy's father, Christopher Poulin, and had not ruled out that he was en route to Saskatchewan.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.
