For the last five years, we have held a Holiday Gift Card Auction around the festive season on our sister site, GuelphToday.

We are thrilled to introduce Elora-Fergus to the online auction, featuring hundreds of gift cards totalling almost $50,000 in products and services that you can bid on, starting at half the face value of the card!

We have a bunch of fantastic gift cards you could win to a variety of local businesses, including Fantescape Rooms, Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, One AXE Pursuits, Gents & Kings Barber Lounge, Dixon's Distilled Spirits, ArtMed, Aido Climate Solutions Inc., Sugo on Surrey, Budget Blinds, Cheryl Stelzer Law, Einstien's Cafe, Play with Clay, The Bookshelf and many more.

This initiative is a great way to support local, as the money you spend stays in our communities and helps businesses in our area thrive.

The auction is open now and ends on Monday, Dec. 13 at 9 p.m.

There will be a limited number of Buy It Now items up for grabs at 40 per cent off their face value in the auction, so make sure you visit early!

Here’s how it works:

  • Log in to your GuelphToday account (if you have an EloraFergusToday account, simply use the same username and password here). If you need a new account, sign up now to make sure you don't miss out on bidding in the final hours.

  • Find an item you want to bid on and enter the amount you would pay for it.

  • Enter your credit card details (you won't be charged unless you win).

  • Choose to bid anonymously if you wish, otherwise, your username will be displayed in the list.

  • Check the 'confirm' box and then click the BID button.

  • That's it! If you are outbid, we will let you know right away by email.

  • At the end of the auction, we will notify all winners.

Support local while getting a great deal.

You can stay updated on the bids with a quick click on the Auction tab at the top of any GuelphToday page, or click here.

Happy bidding!
