Royal City Brewing is hosting Brews and Bullies, an event to support the not-for-profit For Pete's Sake Rescue.

Get your dog ready for its close up, and support an organization looking to find brachy dog breed rescues a new home.

Royal City Brewery hosts Brews and Bullies this Saturday, with proceeds to benefit For Pete's Sake Rescue in Woodstock.

The non-profit organization is dedicated to brachycephalic breeds, which describes breeds with short muzzle or flat faced breeds, including Boston terriers, English bulldogs, French bulldogs and pugs. They work to raise money to pay for medical bills or training, and also look to find these pups new homes by either adoption or foster care.

Officials said there will be a kissing booth for dogs, raffles, merchandise for sale, as well as professional pet photographer Laura Wombwell on site to take pictures of your furry friends of all breeds.

It is free to attend, and is of course, a pet-friendly event. But officials stress the pets need to be well behaved.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the brewery's ward room at 199 Victoria Rd. S.
