A candlelight vigil is being held tonight in honour of eight-year-old Charlie Hesselink, who was killed in 2022.
His father, who later took his own life, was the lone suspect in the homicide investigation.
Organized by Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis, the vigil will take place at 8 p.m. at Market Square.
There will be brief remarks, community solidarity and a moment of silence to commemorate Charlie.
Masks are required, and the event will be livestreamed for those who can’t make it in person.
