Clifford teen charged with Guelph hit and run

Incident happened in April when a man was hit while crossing a downtown street

A Clifford teen has been charged after a pedestrian was struck in downtown Guelph earlier this year.

Just after 9 a.m. April 25, an adult male was crossing Macdonell Street at Wyndham Street North when he was struck and knocked down by a vehicle making a left turn. The driver stopped briefly before leaving the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

An 18-year-old Clifford male is charged with failing to stop at an accident and careless driving.
