The Guelph Fire Department is back with its Hot Summer Nights program next month.

Firefighters will turn on the fire hose for fun in the water and a chance to cool down on a hot summer day.

Visitors can converse with local first responders, get a close look at their emergency vehicles and learn about fire safety.

Because the fire crew will be on duty while they are at the event, they may leave in order to respond to an emergency.

Hot Summer Nights will take place from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

Locations and dates are:

  • July 11: Margaret Greene Park, 80 Westwood Dr.
  • July 25: Exhibition Park, Kathleen Street
  • Aug. 8: Waverley Drive Park, 140 Waverley Dr.
  • Aug. 22: Riverside Park, 709 Woolwich St.
