Whether you're trying to find a high school co-op student for your shop or your next full-time worker. Whether you're looking for information on the labour market, or how to apply for government grants to support your business, resources for all of this can now be found in one place.

The Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin launched the Employer Resource Corner launched this week.

"There are a lot of resources out there for employers when it comes to hiring, recruitment (and) retention," said Charlene Hofbauer, the planning board's executive director. "(But) they're all over the place.

"We just wanted to put them in one place that would make sense for an employer to go and find some of those resources that they need to hire, attract, retain."

The corner is funded by provincial dollars the planning board receives each year.

The web page features links for employers to find workers, as well as workforce planning resources, as well as grants and business supports.

She said the FindYourJob site was a great choice to put this resource because it's supported by the municipalities that fall under their umbrella.

They haven't received any feedback as of yet, but Hofbauer mentioned the corner was developed with some local employers, who offered feedback and suggestions.

The self-help corner is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, and came about after local labour market consultation sessions held last year.

Hofbauer said the more resources they can get out there, the more they can help a small business stay open and grow.
