The Guelph Symphony Orchestra will present its Mozart Requiem in the Basilica Concert, at the Basilica of Our Lady, on Sunday March 24th, at 3pm. This concert is sponsored by Bank of Montreal.

Shrouded in mystery, infused with theatricality and poignancy, Mozart’s powerful Requiem remains beloved by audiences. This program also includes Andrew Balfour’s ethereal Pyotr’s Dream.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be presenting Mozart’s Requiem with the Guelph Symphony Orchestra and the wonderful singers of the University of Guelph Symphonic Choir, directed by Dr. Irene Gregorio”, the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady”, said Adam Johnson, the orchestra’s new Music Director. “Mozart’s Requiem has captured the imagination, and moved the hearts of literally millions of people, in the more than two hundred years since it was first performed”.
