GUELPH FIRE DEPARTMENT

GUELPH, ON, March 16, 2016 – On March 16, 2016 at approximately 4 p.m. the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the above noted location.

Units from Headquarters Stations 2, 4 and 5 arrived at the scene and found smoke coming from the garage area of the detached home. Crews evacuated the buildings occupants and pets. 

The fire was quickly brought under control and subsequently extinguished.  .

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire along with an estimate of damage is still under investigation.

Fire Prevention was contacted and on scene. More information will be released at a later time.

Our thanks to Guelph Police Services, Guelph Wellington EMS, Guelph Hydro, Union Gas and Guelph Humane Society for attending and assisting our department and the victims of this incident.
