A Guelph man was arrested Friday after he was caught driving while prohibited, say Guelph police.
Just before 4 p.m. Friday, a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was patrolling on Stone Road East and Gordon Street. He queried a licence plate and learned the owner was a prohibited driver.
The officer was able to pull beside the vehicle and confirm the male owner was driving. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer observed the male driver and his wife attempting to switch seats.
A 33-year-old Guelph man is charged with operation while prohibited. He will appear in court in January. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
