Village Media is growing again.

On Monday morning the exclusively online news site launched its latest venture when CambridgeToday.ca went live. Check it out here.

The site will cover local news, people and events, focusing on the things that matter most in the Cambridge community.

CambridgeToday.ca joins the growing list of Village Media's owned and operated sites that include hyper-local news coverage in nearby communities, like GuelphToday, BarrieToday, NewmarketToday and more.

The site will be staffed by two experienced journalists with more full-time staff and freelancers to be added soon. Right now we have Doug Coxson, the former editor of the Guelph Mercury Tribune, and Mehreen Shahid, who previously worked at Village Media's Midland site.

Village Media will be announcing more new sites shortly.
