Saturday, May 27

Guelph Farmers' Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers

Eramosa River Trail parkrun and parkwalk

Eramosa River Trail, 85 York Rd.; 9 a.m. - noon

The free weekly timed 5K run, jog or walk kicks off just east of the covered wooden bridge near The Boathouse. Newcomers are encouraged to join at 8:45 a.m. 

Public works open house

45 and 50 Municipal St.; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Check out a variety of equipment used by the city’s public works department such as dump trucks, tractors and garbage trucks, as well as one of the city’s new electric buses.

Taste Real Spring Rural Romp

Various farms in Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Spring Rural Romp is a self-guided farm and food tour to farms, markets and nurseries in Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North. Participating locations can be found here.

HorseDay Erin

Erin Fairgrounds, 184 Main St., Erin; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A celebration of all things horses at the Erin Fairgrounds. There will be more than 35 vendors, face painting, food trucks, animals from the Small Hooves/Big Hearts Petting Farm, and several horse breeds in the Equine Education Barn. The day will also feature lots of events, including a special dog agility show at 1 p.m., followed by a dog versus horse race, and a demonstration by the OMSSU Mounted Patrol. 

Touch-a-truck in Erin

Erin Town Hall grounds, 5684 Trafalgar Rd., Hillsburgh; 10 a.m. to noon

As part of National Public Works Week, vehicles and equipment from the Town of Erin's roads and fire department will be on display for the public to take a look. Meet town staff and learn more about the work they do through this family friendly event. No registration required. Non-perishable food donations accepted on site. 

Eden Mills Arts Festival

Eden Mills Community Centre, 108 York St., Eden Mills; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Annual two-day show and sale of fine art and crafts by over 25 artists. Musical entertainment, dance and more.

Hospital Privatization Referendum

Numerous locations and times throughout Guelph and Wellington County

Dubbed a "citizen-led community opinion vote," Guelph District Health Coalition is hosting a referendum regarding provincial government efforts to increase private healthcare services. This is part of a province-wide initiative from Ontario Health Coalition. For voting locations and times, click here.

BIG Downtown Food Truck Picnic

Exhibition Park; 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph, this event involves 10 food trucks, a beer tent and more.

Yoga Fest

Frank Hasenfratz Centre For Excellence in Manufacturing, 700 Woodlawn Rd. W.; 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Yoga instructors from throughout the city host yoga classes designed for all levels, with proceeds from a raffle donated to Hospice Wellington. Vendors will also be available.

Drop-in roller skating at the Puslinch Optimist Recreation Centre

Puslinch Optimist Recreation Centre, 23 Brock Rd. S., Aberfoyle; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Check out the drop-in roller skating program at the Optimist Recreation Centre Rink in Puslinch for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Helmets must be worn by individuals 15 years of age and younger. Please note hockey sticks, pucks and/or balls are not permitted.

Canada’s largest outdoor antique market. Over 100 dealers selling collectibles, folk art, furniture and more. Admission costs $5.
