Passed away peacefully at Guelph General hospital Sunday, January 14th 2024, at the age of 93.

Born March 12th, 1930 in Monroe, Michigan, she was raised in Montreal, Quebec where she met and married John Edward Aiken, who predeceased her in 2006. After a brief stint in Toronto they moved to Guelph in 1964. Like many women of her generation, she felt her life's purpose was to raise a family, which she took great pride in.

Besides being a wonderful and caring mother, she was also a beautiful seamstress and unbelievable cook. She is the backbone of many cherished family traditions that we will continue to uphold in her honor. She was a classy woman who also had a wonderful sense of humor, and her bright blue eyes and smile could warm any heart.

She is survived by the following grateful people: Her son David (Sue) Aiken, and her daughters Nancy (Tim) Ludwig, and Heather (Mark) Ewald. She will lovingly be remembered by her grandchildren Rachael Aiken (Matthew Cholewa), Kellen Aiken, Emmett Ewald, and Meg Ewald. Affectionately known as ‘GG’ to her great grandchildren Audrey, Archer, and Henry.

She will forever be in our hearts and so deeply missed in our lives.

Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).
