Passed away peacefully into the arms of the Angels, with her family by
her side, at The Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph, on Friday, August
20, 2021. Mafalda (Finoro) Aimola age 94 years, was the beloved wife, of
72 years, of the late Antonio (Tony) Aimola (2017). She was the loving
mother of Vicki Veri and her late husband Freddy (2017), Susanna and her
husband Mike DeAngelis, and Ron Aimola and his wife Joanne Waters.
Mafalda was the proud Nonna of Roberto (Kelly), Deanna, Michael
(Leeanna), Sara (Willem), Amanda (Andrew), Emily (Geoff), and Jesse, and
Bis-Nonna of Samuel, Anna, Rebecca, Paolo, Gianluca, Chiara, Evie,
Charlie and Esme. Predeceased by her two brothers Giovanni Finoro and
Renato Finoro. Survived by her sister-in-law Anna Finoro and by her many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents

Family was everything to Mafalda, she was affectionately known as Ma by
her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed
numerous trips to visit family in Italy over the years. Mafalda was a
woman of great faith and was a member of the Catholic Woman’s League for
over 70 years.

The family wish to express their sincere thanks to her neighbours on
Waverley Dr. and to the staff and friends at the Village of Riverside
Glen especially to the Egerton neighbourhood and to everyone at the
Grand River Dialysis Center including the Guelph Satelite Unit.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252
Dublin St. N., Guelph, where a private visitation will be held. A public
Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St.,
Guelph, on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. Due to Covid -19
restrictions, masks are mandatory and social distancing will be in
place. Capacity is limited, guests wishing to attend are asked to RSVP
on the Funeral Home Website. The Mass will also be livestreamed and the
link can be found on the funeral home website. Private entombment in Our
Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. In lieu of
flowers, donations to The Grand River Dialysis Centre or to Loyola
House, Ignatius Jesuit Centre, Guelph would be appreciated by the
