Passed away peacefully on September 20th at 105 years of age.  Doris was born August 20, 1917 in Mountfield, England.  During the 2nd World War, Doris and her sister were engaged in the war effort.  At a military dance, Doris met her future husband William (Bill).  The loving couple were married shortly after in May 1944.

After the War, Doris and Bill decided to make Guelph their home where Bill took over his father’s business.  For many years, Doris and Bill (Pie) enjoyed curling with their friends. When Bill retired, they decided to move to their cottage in Port Elgin. Later they moved to Owen Sound with their son Paul.

Three years ago, Doris and Bill moved back to Guelph to take up residence in Wellington Park Retirement Home for one year followed by moving to Riverside Glen Long Term Care for approximately two years.

Doris is survived by her husband William (Bill) and her children Suzanne Range (Juergen), Paul, and Debra Longhurst (Brian) and grandchildren, Mark Bremner of Vancouver, Scott Bremner (deceased 1998).

The family is thankful and grateful for the wonderful care Doris received especially at Riverside Glen.

A tree will be planted in memory of Doris M. Anderson in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
