Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Guelph General hospital. John Andrews, 73, of Guelph, Ontario, was born in Arthur,Ontario to Fred and Alice Andrews, John lived most of his life in Mount Forest and Guelph. John also affectionately known as Jack (and Daddio), was a loving, social man who enjoyed visiting with friends and family, long car rides in the country, collecting crokinole boards, and playing card games (which he usually won!). John was a dedicated employee of Euclid Hitachi (now Hitachi), where he was employed as an inspector until his retirement and was well liked by his coworkers. He was devoted to helping others and provided support through his decades long tenure serving as an AA sponsor.

John was a loving and proud father of his four children, Shelley Andrews, of Toronto, Kelvin Andrews and his wife Melynda, Amy Andrews and her husband Dean, and Crystal Andrews and her husband Cris, all of Guelph. He was the proud grandfather of his 7 grandchildren, Cassidy, Jessica, Ravyn, Mihaela, Simona, Loki, and Link. He is survived by his sister Shirley Andrews, and his brothers Fred Andrews, and Clifford Andrews, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and other friends.

The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N, Guelph, where John's life will be celebrated in the Fellowship Lounge from 2-4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Guelph Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
