Annan Carrie

It is with tremendous heavy hearts that we announce the death of Carrie Annan, at the age of 61 years, at Guelph General Hospital, on Thursday, June 24, 2021.  Carrie is fondly remembered by her siblings; Harry Annan (Moe), Mary Kaye Lucier (Dale), Jo-Anne McNamara (Jim Smith), Clare Mackew (Indrek Kahro), David Annan and Peter Annan.  Her cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews will miss their aunt Carrie’s friendly disposition; Clay, Mackenzie, Jonathan, Jim (Jenny), Harry, Hadley, Heather (Kirk), Darcy, Marra, Laura, Jessie (Scott), Noe (Heather), Curtis (Lindsay), Olive, Nico, Chris (Tina), Traverse, Avery and Katie.  Carrie was a strong, supportive, quiet presence to so many people, including, but not limited to her She Devil teammates and other teams from the Thursday night three pitch league, all of the Monday night Ladies Slo-pitch teams that had the pleasure of playing with (and against) Carrie, her Tuesday night volleyball ladies, her co-workers at Growmark (formerly UPI) and her many extended family and friends.  A smile will be brought to many faces when there is any news of the Detroit Tigers, as Carrie was a devout, avid fan!  The family will be saying a private farewell to Carrie and will have a celebration of life when we are all able to gather once again.  We ask that family members do not attend if feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 and further ask that you respect the direction of the funeral home staff.   Arrangements entrusted to GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (519.824-0031)  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society in Carrie’s name.  We invite you to leave your memories and donations online at:  www.gilchristchapel.com and they will be forwarded to the family.
